Heather Benzenhoefer

Heather Benzenhoefer is a Partner with Waldron and Schneider. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from South Texas College of Law Houston and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin.

Ms. Benzenhoefer handles business law matters including: forming new corporate entities, maintaining existing businesses, and helping clients with buying and selling businesses. She drafts, reviews and negotiates revisions to documents such as contracts, buy/sell agreements, purchase agreements, employment agreements, restrictive covenant agreements, deeds, promissory notes, and leases. She also prepares and files trademark registration applications.

Ms. Benzenhoefer enjoys helping families grow through adoption. She represents parents adopting children in the care of Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. She also handles stepparent adoptions and adult adoptions. Ms. Benzenhoefer has experience successfully complying with the strict requirements for interstate placements set forth in the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children (ICPC).

Ms. Benzenhoefer also provides estate planning and succession planning services, including Will packages, trusts, and formation and maintenance of family limited partnerships.

Before she joined Waldron and Schneider, Ms. Benzenhoefer’s practice focused primarily on adoptions and representing abused and neglected children as a court appointed attorney ad litem. Ms. Benzenhoefer is a Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) Practitioner and Educator and has volunteered with the Sanctuary of Hope Family Camp
