Madison Moody is an associate at Waldron & Schneider, PLLC. Her practice focuses on probate and estate planning, as well as resolving individualized disputes for business clients which range from various contract and real estate disputes to collection matters. She is a graduate from South Texas College of Law Houston and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
While earning her law degree, Ms. Moody clerked for both the Harris County Family Law Court and Harris County Attorney’s Office. She also supported the Mediation Clinic where she became a licensed mediator and both participated in and lead numerous mediations resolving a number of disputes concerning multiple areas of law.
Prior to joining Waldron & Schneider, PLLC, Ms. Moody acted as a solo-practitioner where she counseled and represented clients in a variety of family and estate law matters. As a solo-practitioner, Ms. Moody was responsible for educating and empowering clients to make informed, intelligent decisions about their case, based upon practical risk-benefit analysis and understanding of the law as it applied to their unique circumstances. This opportunity allowed her unique insight into the special skill required to navigate the intricacies of client communications, negotiations, and various legal queries.
Before becoming an attorney, Ms. Moody was a certified paralegal, earning her graduate certificate from Susanne M. Glasscock School of Continuing Studies at Rice University in Houston. Because of her former work experience as both an attorney and paralegal, Ms. Moody has a unique understanding and insight into the world of law from both sides of the spectrum.
Ms. Moody continues to give back to her alma mater in her work as a bar coach through South Texas College of Law Houston’s Bar Preview Program. In her off-time, she currently works with both first-year law students and recent law school graduates to prepare and study for the bar exam.
Ms. Moody is active in the community including being a member of the Clear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce and Houston Young Lawyer’s Association. She is licensed to practice in the State of Texas.
