Mary D. Borrego

Mary D. Borrego is an Associate Attorney with Waldron & Schneider. She graduated from the University of Houston in 2013 with a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature, and in 2017 with her Juris Doctorate. Ms. Borrego’s practice focuses on business law, estate planning, and civil litigation.

Ms. Borrego works with entrepreneurs and businesses in entity formation and developing practical solutions by ensuring the continued growth of their businesses and protection of their assets. She works with clients in drafting contracts, buy/sell agreements, asset and stock purchase agreements, promissory notes, warranty deeds, and other documents incidental to the operation of a business. She also assists clients with employment matters including pre-employment screening, employee handbooks, employment and confidentiality agreements, covenants not to compete, and employment termination issues.

Ms. Borrego’s litigation experience covers a broad spectrum of civil litigation including commercial litigation, real estate, first and third party insurance disputes, personal injury, wrongful death, healthcare fraud and qui tam litigation, breach of contract, employment law, and consumer protection (e.g., Deceptive Trade Practices and Fair Debt Collection Practices). Ms. Borrego develops solutions and strategies to best resolve her clients’ disputes in a pragmatic and effective manner.

Ms. Borrego is licensed in the state of Texas and the Southern District of Texas.
